Dear British Business Club members,

Apologies to you all that this is our first newsletter for some time; however, those of you who follow us on a regular basis will know that we have been very busy trying to deliver what we promised to you all in October 2021. As we move into a short summer recess, I did want to share with you the fantastic progress to date. We formed the new Committee and together we have hosted 16 events, supported, and partnered 17 events, completed a comprehensive survey, and welcomed close to 200 new members.

We have delivered many different types of events and are always looking for new ideas, evidenced by the recent Cigars, Drinks and Friends evening and our joint Business Networking Evening which gathered more than 100 guests, including various business associations and representatives of the British, Canadian, and Austrian embassies in Russia.

Once again thank you very much for being with us and spending your time. Without you it wouldn’t be possible.

As we continue to seek improvements, we would like to build on the fact that more partners and associations are interested in cooperating with us. Thus, in addition to our own events we would like to hold fully joint events and “friends of the BBC promotional events”. Joint events would include 2-3 advertisements and full registration whereas “friends” events would include one advertisement, registration would not be included, the organizing party provides all materials, and this would be free once per quarter.

When we return in September, we would also like to offer to all members who have attended at least 2 events the possibility to take part in a bi-weekly members Wednesday. This is your opportunity to take a space and have your name and business circulated to all other members. In addition, we are also exploring opportunities to provide more informal “get togethers”, opportunities for members to just come together and communicate.

Finally, I would like to pose you an important question – what are your needs the British Club may help to fulfill? And what more could we do? Please give me your feedback in the appropriate form.

Looking forward to seeing you at South American Tapas & Summer Drinks at Sous-sol on August 3. This will be the closing event in the summer season, and we’ll be going on vacation till September.
